The Family Gathering was *extremely* important to me and I am going to write several posts about it. But first, I must finish my FG field notes. Since I have to turn almost immediately to dissertation revision, I need to get my insights, descriptions and impressions of the gathering down in my hand o'write journal so that after I have defended, I can come back and mine the rich lessons that I encountered there without fear of forgetting anything critically important. And since my brain is almost totally full and has even been leaking a little bit since Sunday morning, I need to complete that soon!
So far, I'm just up to an account of Thursday evening, so I'll have to do some field notes over lunch at Sapporo's in a few minutes with the company of some good sushi.
But there is one *important announcement* that should happen now:
Keith has set up a Yahoo group for Blue Star people interested in aromatic issues of all kinds---using essential oils, making incenses, exploring aromatic herbs, blending, locating good sources and playing in stinky stuff.
All Blue Star folks who are interested in this sort of thing and/or who might want to go in together to buy aromatic materials at wholesale prices should consider signing on.
The lovely Keith has established this list with blinding speed and efficiency, and has named it, very appropriately...
stinkybs
If you are interested in joining this Yahoo list, please submit your email address to me or to him and we will add you.
Thank you, Keith, for setting this up! Happy (excellent smelling) dance, happy (remarkably aromatic) dance...
