Feeling physically better today after sleeping and resting all day Friday and taking Saturday off of exercise as well. Yesterday, instead of working out, I organized my large and extremely messy clothes closet at a leisurely pace. Today I did my every-two-month deep clean of the gym/basement/cat kingdom, which is always painful in a dusty, massively cat hair-encrusted, difficult-to-breathe sort of way. Survived by listening to the radio and turning the HEPA filter up to high. At least now the floor and all surfaces have been scrubbed with Citrasolve and the kitty beds and snuggly blankie have been/are being washed. After two more hours of high HEPA filter action, I should be able to use the basement to enjoy a very gentle, clean, happy, citrusy-smelling workout.
Upstairs, my large clothes closet is 2/3 cleaned, newly organized and almost functional for winter. In a bit, I will experiment with using the ladder to store things in the attic without help, since Ken is off on his 8-day Oregon trip. He'll pretty much be on the road till right after Samhain, so I get some more solo time to do everything I need to do before then.
Sigh. Procrastination on academic stuff always means a clean, sweet-smelling house and good food. It just reinforces the notion that a dissertation-free life is a very nice life.
