Wait...its Radcliffe Publishing *in* Oxford. Not Oxford University Press.

I'm still happy!

Thank you so much for your wonderful words, friends.

scared to say yay, for the same reason that Jews don't make a pregnancy public until they feel the baby move.

But heck, you have an editor very, very excited about publishing your book! The publisher seems to specialize in publications in the medical field. So.....

YAY! It's all good!

I think you could tart the book up a bit and sell it beyond the academic audience. You could be the next Camile Paglia. (if that's what you want.) How hot is AIDS? How hot is spirituality? If you really wanted to, you could probably come up with a snappy title (Ladies of AIDS - Saving Lives With Magic) and throw some lurid graphics on the cover (How about a VERY skinny, very beautiful Latina with a cross around her neck and a baby in her arms lighting a candle in front of a statue of the Virgin of Guadeloupe?)and sell this book to Judith Regan. You would just need an agent to pitch it.

Do you want to be an academic or a whore?

(grin)

Congratulations and yay!
