You have the same patter with responsibility that I do----you take on too much, and then run away from things when they become overwhelming. I'm SO struggling with this---I've always wanted to be the person who was reliable, dependable, always there, always willing. I have a terrible time saying no when someone makes a request of me. I did this for over 30 years----and got hit with a breakdown in myself and my abilities. Now, I find that I have to say no to myself before I can say no to others----and still have trouble saying it. It's a word that I said often to my kids, but never really said it to any effect on my own behalf. Maybe we can come up with some strategies for saying no---two heads being better than one in such instances!
