What's the opposite of murder, torture, genocide and the eradication of hope?

This video offers a pretty good answer: dancing at Auschwitz.

"On a recent trip to Europe, a family of three generations (a Holocaust survivor, his daughter and his grandchildren) dance to Gloria Gaynor's pop song - 'I Will Survive' at concentration camps and memorials throughout Europe."

Watching people who would not exist if Hitler had prevailedDancing through the killing fields of my father's generation.

Aushwicz, Treblinka, Bergen-Belsin, Lodz - those place-names have so much power. It's beautiful to see someone conquer and reclaim those names.

Thank you.

This made me cry...in a good way...

I wish my beloved grandfather-- a Dachau survivor-- were still here so I could send this to him. He was the type of guy who would definitely have danced there too (though maybe an elegant waltz or fox trot).

And doubly wonderful because "I Will Survive" is one of my all-time favorite songs of ever. I think there's a law that when it comes on, all activity must cease and a spontaneous dance number must commence.
