Prayer for a New Year

May all that has done its work in me fall away with my blessing;
May all that does not support my wisest and best self leave for where it now belongs
May all that makes me wiser, stronger, truer and more powerful find me
And may I welcome it with open arms.

Peace to everything that leaves and everything that comes,
And peace to everyone who leaves and everyone who finds me
For the greatest possible good of all.

So mote it be.
