overcome by your moving temple overcome by this holiest of altars
so pure so rare to witness such an earthly goddess that i've lost my self control beyond compelled to throw this dollar down
before your holiest of altars
i'd sell my soul my self esteem a dollar at a time for one chance one kiss one taste of you my magdalena
i bear witness to this place this prayer so long forgotten so pure so rare to witness such an earthly goddess that i'd sell my soul my self esteem a dollar at a time for one chance one kiss one taste of you my black madonna
i'd sell my soul my self esteem a dollar at a time one taste one taste one taste of you my magdalena

amazing...I must listen to more of this music. How could I have never heard of these artists?

I love A Perfect Circle! Amy, Scott, Shannon, Willow, Dennis and I went to see them a couple of years back when their second album was released. The lead singer for A Perfect Circle is Maynard James Keenan, who is also the lead singer of Tool.

It happens. :) Maynard James Keenan is a genius in my opinion. Tool is quite a bit different than A Perfect Circle but is just as deep.

How did I miss this?

The band(s), not the concert...this music is unbelievable. Wow.

I have been listening to Tool as well, but mostly in a car, while conversations happen. I haven't had a chance to listen intently to their work. I must change this.

I'm intrigued. Click on the peace symbol on their official website and see the cool updated war posters. Very close to the bone.

:-) I remember when a lover first turned by on to Dead Can Dance. I was in awe and couldn't believe I'd never heard of them. It's been a gift I've been forever grateful for.

A Perfect Circle is Awsome! I saw them in Toronto with Nine Inch Nails a couple years ago - fantastic live on stage, an amazing show with incredible visuals. They have a second album after the one Magdalena is on called Thirteenth Step.

tool is heavy into western ritual magic, coming out of masonry, and they are deeply interested in the priory de sion and church of mary magdalene and all that jazz.

heck, that's why they do odd things with 7/8 8/8 9/8 drum sequences. not that i understand, but they seem to.

and maynard's voice is.... good. let's say good.

which tool albums have you been listening to?
