Changed

My favorite quote from last night (written on the back of a flyer in my packet):

"I know I've changed, but it doesn't feel like I changed---it feels like the world has changed".

Fantastic quote, but I'm curious - did s/he mean it in a good way, as in the world seems to have gotten better, or a negative way, as in the world seems to have gotten harsher? I can see being inspired by such an attitude of positive change but I can also see how, if someone is on the down and outs, they'd be able to say that too.

He meant that he knew he had changed in the way he related to others, but it felt like the world had changed because the people around him now treated him differently, in a much more positive way.
