sabrinamari: (bein' a dork)
Last night I had two new experiences. Michael took me to a ballroom dancing class, and he and I had dinner with a friend who just spent 30 hours in a Manhattan holding cell in Chinatown.

I learned a lot from both experiences. Fortunately, our friend is alright. He met a Russian mobster, a large collection of very scary and interesting people, and since he was there for a long time, he made friends with them and ended up explaining fractional reserve banking.

The 30 or so folks in this cell were frequent flyers with long rap sheets. They thought the concept of fractional reserve banking was the best scam they had ever heard of. I have to agree.

I am having many interesting experiences like this, thanks to the giant hand sweeping across my friendships.

Also, the ballroom dancing class was pretty interesting. I was desperate to leave for the first 20 minutes, but then I kind of got the hang of it. I can now sweep through the basic steps of the Tango.

Michael thought it would be cool and cheering to do something new. I approve.

What's the difference between a tosser and a wanker? Inquiring minds want to know.

Torchwood, you see...
