sabrinamari: (The Star)
So, last night I went to bed thinking, I'm too close to the landscape to see it clearly. I can't really tell where I should put my focus.

sabrinamari: (The Star)
In trying to figure out the shape of my next year or so, I've been doing a fair amount of reading. Divination is one of my most familiar and reliable tools---it can be pretty helpful in orienting me to the most important issues I'll be exploring in the near future.

from (thanks for the reminder, tigira):

A few years ago East Timor was described as an "unimaginable, apocalyptic ruin" by UN peacekeepers. More than 200,000 people had died during a 25-year struggle to separate from Indonesia. But after finally gaining its independence, the new nation is now prospering in peace. With this as your inspiration, Scorpio, identify the most intractable and painful problem in your life. Now imagine that in the next ten months, you will transform it as dramatically as the people of East Timor did theirs."

Based on this teaser, I decided to test the $6 audio reading offered on this website for the first time. All I have to say is: "Damn! This man is *good*." He's doing Part I of a 3-part preview of the coming year for each sign, phased in on a weekly basis for the next 3 weeks.

I maintain a healthy degree of skepticism of professional diviners. As a diviner, I know that many, if not most practitioners are either unskilled, only very moderately skilled or outright con artists. But based on my experience of this week's Scorpio reading, I will say that this $6 reading is well worth the expenditure and quite a good value. His $6 reading is certainly the equal to my $30 Tarot consultation, at any rate.

It was dead on---and I do mean, absolutely, completely dead on---and extremely useful to me.

If you do it, be ready with pen and paper, and plan to write fast. You'll want to take notes, and for $6, you only get to hear your reading once.
